Facilities on site
We use pruning saws, cordless drills and hammers. The course takes place, from 10am – 6pm, (you might finish a bit earlier). Tea, coffee and cake are provided but you need to bring your own lunch. There is no electricity. There is also poor mobile phone signal. We have a compost loo on site.
What to bring
Please dress warmly but with layers you can take off if the weather is warm (you never know!) Bring wet weather gear and wear solid shoes. You may find you are more comfortable in walking boots but definitely no sandals. Please bring a notebook and pencil and a pair of gardening gloves if you have them.
Bear in mind that you will be bringing a full size chair back with you. Opt for your bigger car if you have a choice.
Tea, coffee and cake are provided but you need to bring your own lunch. Let me know if you have any food allergies / intolerance or any health issues that I should know about.
Health & Fitness
The day involves a lot of bending, sawing and hammering. It can be quite tiring. Please ring me if you have any concerns about your ability to take part. I am happy to give advice.
